Faire is a marketplace that connects independent brands and retailers.

Making an impact
Faire's online wholesale marketplace connects over 600,000 independent retailers with over 85,000 emerging and established brands around the world.

Internationally established
Now, local is going global. Faire is changing the wholesale industry across the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Shaping a future for local
We believe small businesses are vital to our communities, and it’s why we come to work every day—to help independent brands and retailers across the globe build thriving and successful businesses.

Supporting women-owned
The future is female—especially in small businesses. 63% of the maker businesses on Faire are women-owned.

Our customers

The community of independent retailers & brands is alive and vibrant on Faire.

Retailers like Tender Loving Empire from Portland, Oregon, curate unique experiences for their customers, and are constantly looking for new items to add to their inventory.

Brands like Rewined from Charleston, South Carolina, want to connect with retailers that align with their brand, and can help tell the product story to their customers.

We embed on projects across the company, and come together as one design team under the same roof.

What we make

One connected wholesale ecosystem, with two distinct sides: the retailer marketplace & the brand portal.

The Faire marketplace

Our bread and butter. The Faire marketplace helps retailers find the inventory they need for their shops, and get inspired by additional products offerings. With shop analytics, integrations, and advanced marketing tools, brands get insights to optimize their selling experience on Faire.

Connecting through virtual and in-person events

Retailers love connecting with brands. With our free Faire Markets, we make the trade show experience virtual. By integrating new ways for retailers to experience products and makers on Faire, including highly-attended vibrant live events, we bring the Faire marketplace experience to life—and spark community connections in the process.

Designing a workspace
that inspires

Our newest home in San Francisco was crafted completely in house—from the foundation to the furniture, designed to reflect our workspace needs and company values. We design with picas, pixels, and inches as our toolkit, and are meticulous about meeting our standards for brand and quality.

Team & values

We go out of our way to grow & maintain a thriving design team culture, within Faire’s larger company values.

We’re in it together.

We bring all of our energy, passion, and vulnerability to the table. We’re not afraid to admit when the going gets tough. We jump into the trenches together, and find moments of camaraderie, laughter, and levity to keep us grounded and smiling.

We believe in our craft.

We approach our work with a dedication to quality and getting it “right”—whether that’s designing a new product feature, ad campaign, or office space. No detail is too small for us to dedicate our full attention to it.

We’re all entrepreneurs.

We’re scrappy and entrepreneurial. Just like the small business owners we serve, we take responsibility for our work and make things happen. No matter your title, everyone on our team has autonomy over their work.

We move fast, but don’t break things.

We ship a lot, but this doesn’t mean we skimp on quality. We move quickly and rely on our honed intuition, but also rigorously test every feature before it launches. It’s fast-paced work—and incredibly fulfilling.

We connect with our customers.

We’re kindred spirits with the makers and retailers on Faire, who are creators and entrepreneurs driven by passion for their work. But we're not small business owners—we need to work hard to hear their stories and build empathy for their needs.

Our team culture

We have a deep appreciation for the value of culture, and we work together to build the team culture we want. Here are some of the highlights.

An offsite dedicated to our customers and each other.

What would it mean to design your team offsite not around productivity or planning—but around building empathy for your customers? That’s what we did for our second annual Design Summit. By focusing on shared experiences that allowed them to get to know Faire’s customers better, we were able to build strong team connections and greater empathy and understanding for our customers.

Why we planned our second design team offsite around shared experiences →

Sharing our stories through Top 5

A simple framework with major impact: present on your “top 5” in any category, and tell a story about yourself in the process. One of the most-loved rituals in our design team culture, Top 5 has highlighted everything from the “Top 5 fast food french fries” to Robin Bigio’s “Top 5 most mortifying professional moments”—bringing our team together in the process.

Taking engagement survey results seriously

One of Faire’s five company values is “Seek the truth.” At its core, this principle is about digging to the root of a problem — no matter what you might discover. We live this value by regularly doing design research on our engagement survey results, in order to pinpoint exactly where our org culture needs to change to meet the needs of our growing team. We’re committed to growing—together.
